Whether or not you support the next government restriction, you will be less free. You will have fewer choices. You will have less individuality. You will have less pride. You will have less power. Your voice will not ring as loud. Your world will be smaller. You will be smaller.

Push back. Be free. Please Keep Going. This is still America. Thank you for reminding us that we have rights which not even the President or the Congress can touch.

Mose Jeffersonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17997751250108334579noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4632717592532925206.post-25239563993026357632013-01-05T22:48:00.003-08:002013-05-03T23:35:47.777-07:00How Can We Protect Our Rights Today? With so many folks racing into the warm smothering arms of government, the freedom hating vultures in congress are circling with ever more zeal, searching for the next freedom or dollar to snatch away. With so many leftist anti-gun politicians dancing in the blood of slain children, we are left to wonder what we can do to protect our gun rights.

There are two very constructive things we can do today;

1. Write your House Representative and both of your Senators. It's easy, and they need to hear your voice. Use the links at the right, or just go to house.gov and senate.gov. It only takes a few minutes.

2. Join the NRA. It is the strongest force protecting the 2nd Amendment, which is why it is constantly badmouthed by leftists on NPR, CNN, MSNBC, etc. The NRA is our voice as free people. Remember, anytime Biden or Obama slam the NRA, they are slamming us, the citizens of America. If you're already a member, start making payments towards a life membership like I did when Obama was first elected. Every time he or his mainstream media get extra uppity I make another payment towards my life membership - which means I'm very close now.

Screw the government and all those who would seek to use it as a bludgeon against our freedoms.Mose Jeffersonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17997751250108334579noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4632717592532925206.post-7122720028759817592012-11-08T17:07:00.000-08:002012-11-08T17:12:21.927-08:00...you can't take the sky from me.<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml>

Giving criminals exclusive access to drugs is a fairly benign act, IF you're okay with the whole part where it denies individuals the basic right to choose what they do with their own bodies. Giving criminals exclusive access to guns, though - are you freakin' kiddin' me? Seriously, what sort of evil sadist does that?

Next time you start whining about how "society" somehow lets bad
people do bad things, think about how much better it would've felt - not
to mention how much more productive - to have been there on that
terrible night in that Colorado theater and to have put a bullet through
that sick psycho's idiotic gas mask.
If you wanna help humanity out, how's about spreading the philosophy of individual empowerment? Or of self reliance and the active defense of the innocents around you?
How's about spreading the philosophy of liberty?Mose Jeffersonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17997751250108334579noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4632717592532925206.post-18119179770499738882012-04-03T18:29:00.000-07:002012-04-03T18:29:43.819-07:00ACT OF VALORI finally went to the movies to see "Act of Valor". I seldom go to the movies, preferring instead to wait for them to come to Turner Classics. In this particular case, I shouldn't have waited so long. It was absolutely phenomenal. By snubbing the cocktail commies and snob socialists of elitist Hollywood, opting instead to cast actual active duty Navy SEALs, the filmmakers achieved a realism that I personally have never experienced in a war movie - and I love war movies. Real life heroes of the highest order portraying heroes on film. It has been done before - Audie Murphy, may God bless him, portrayed himself in "To Hell and Back"; Harold Russell turned in a staggeringly moving performance in "The Best Years of Our Lives". "Act of Valor", however, has heroes in spades. I've seen a few mainstream reviews describing the performances as thin and wooden. To those big-shot big-city movie critics, I would recommend they spend some time in real America, with real Americans. I would also recommend they get real jobs.

There is yet another element to the appeal of "Act of Valor". War films too seldom include the reasons why we fight, often opting instead for cheap sexual interludes thinly veiled as romance. I'll put 10 to your 5 that "Pearl Harbor" illustrates the point nicely, though I haven't bothered to watch it. "Black Hawk Down", "Saving Private Ryan", "Band of Brothers", and "The Pacific", all great modern war movies, but all fail in what I feel to be the critical element of a Great American War Movie. It is here that "Act of Valor" doubles down on pure awesomeness. The soldiers are fighting for their country and their families and for the flag that symbolizes the greatest freedom and prosperity the world has ever known. Period. "Act of Valor" is a stunning tribute to the members of our beloved armed forces who have been willing to lay down their lives so that the innocent folks back home wouldn't have to.

I do not have the honor of signing off here with the Navy SEAL motto, so I will instead think back to the Sailor's Creed, as we recited it way back in basic training:

I am a United States Sailor.

I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and I will obey the orders of my superiors.

I represent the fighting spirit of the Navy and all who have gone before me to defend freedom and democracy around the world.

I proudly serve my country's Navy combat team with Honor, Commitment, and Courage.

I am committed to excellence and the fair treatment of all.

I would be remiss if I did not give a hat tip to Bill Whittle and his PJTV video "Han Shot First!", for bringing my attention to this movie. I don't keep up with new movies, and might've missed this one entirely. Check out his film production project, "Declaration Entertainment", and support his efforts to bring meaningful non-Hollywood films to the big screen.Mose Jeffersonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17997751250108334579noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4632717592532925206.post-55959516899484469452011-11-04T21:48:00.000-07:002011-11-05T07:22:03.256-07:00Occupy someone else's paycheck, please!

This is normal and rational, perfectly reasonable behavior. Advocates of gun control will be quick to label me a delusional vigilante cowboy, but I am not the deluded one. The old west may have faded into history, but our world is still a wild place; 100 years of human development has done nothing to diminish the dangers we face every day. We have then a simple choice: To saddle up and face reality, or to bury our heads in the sands of false utopias based upon the denial of basic human nature.

Because there will always be monsters, gun control will always be inhumane. The well-intentioned delusions of anti-gunners would release declawed kittens into the wild. They would sacrifice innocents to the conceit of ideas, ideas which lead them to believe that they could fashion, as if by pure will, a new reality wherein all mankind is reborn into a being of pure ideology. Human nature, however, can never be tamed, it can never be homogenized into universal benevolence. To believe otherwise is vanity, the seduction of the god complex of social engineering. Because there will always be monsters, preventing innocents from possessing the means for self protection is cruel and twisted. Active self protection, however, is normal and natural.

Speaking plainly, advocates of gun control are so blinded by their ideology that they would force us to conform to it even at the cost of innocent lives. Take for example the foolhardy establishment of “Gun-Free Zones”. Here we see what happens when innocent people are forced to conform to reckless ideology. “Gun Free Zone” fantasies, by disarming the innocent, merely enable tragedies such as the Virginia Tech, Fort Hood, and Norway massacres. In every case, law abiding citizens were barred the right to armed self-defense. In every case madmen wrought destruction, utterly unopposed. In these terrible events we see the cost of combining overly restrictive gun laws with cultures severely lacking in personal responsibility for self protection and the protection of innocents. Horrors such as these are the inevitable result of such ideological fascism. The evil wrought by those monsters was sadly compounded by the failure of those adults who were present to be adequately prepared to protect the innocents with whom they were charged.

It is left to us to assert our right to self defense and our duty to actively protect the innocent. Armed self defense is a basic human requirement, and it always will be. To deny us this right is to deny us our full humanity. It is to deny us the ability to preserve our own lives. As Lassiter told the tragically altruistic Jane Withersteen in the masterpiece by Zane Grey, “Riders of the Purple Sage”:

“Take, for instance, that idea of yours last night when you wanted my guns. It was good an’ beautiful, an’ showed your heart – but – why, Jane it was crazy. Mind I’m assumin’ that life to me is as sweet as to any other man. An’ to preserve that life is each man’s first an’ closest thought. Where would any man be on this border without guns? Where, especially, would Lassiter be? Well, I’d be under the sage with thousands of other men now livin’ an’ sure better men than me. Gun-packin’ in the West since the Civil War has growed into a kind of moral law. An’ out here on this border it’s the difference between a man an’ somethin’ not a man.”

The world still needs cowboys. It seems to me that a few “delusional vigilantes” might’ve done those kids in Norway a lot of good. But first we must change more than just the laws which presently bind our hands. Good people must be allowed and encouraged to take on the great responsibility of bearing arms. Each and every one of us needs to instill in themselves a culture of self defense and the protection of innocents. Each and every one of us has the potential, if properly armed, to stop a rampaging madman. We must endeavor to never cower before evil, but always to strike back at it. Rule number 6 of Gene Autry’s Cowboy Code states that a cowboy must always help people in distress. To that end, we should never allow ourselves to be outgunned.

For me, the American Flag is a symbol of our highest aspirations of freedom and justice; life, liberty, and the rights to the fruits of our labors; and ultimately, our unquestionable equal worth as human beings created by God. When I proudly display the flag, these are the principles I am celebrating. Every morning my spirit is lifted a little higher out of the dull grogginess of sleep by the sight of the flag that flies, visible from my kitchen window, just across the road. Were I to set out into a new frontier, even to the furthest reaches of space, it would be the Stars and Stripes that I carried. In my eyes Old Glory represents the best aspirations of mankind; as a symbol, it is surpassed only by the old rugged cross.

The flag is not Obama’s insidious socialist hatred of America. It is not Bush’s foolhardy wars. It is not Clinton’s nepotism, nor any of the other failures of her people. Political usurpation, blind nationalistic destruction, the military-industrial complex, social engineering and violation of our individual rights, all of these things stand in stark contradiction to the very symbol of freedom which they hide behind. The American Flag is our symbol of an ideal society, just as Christ is the example of an ideal life. And while we can never live up to such lofty ideals, we can proudly hold them up and do our best.

O! say can you see by the dawn’s early light,

What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming,

Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,

O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?

And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air,

Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;

O! say does that star-spangled banner yet wave,

O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore dimly seen through the mists of the deep,

Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes,

What is that which the breeze, o’er the towering steep,

As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?

Now it catches the gleam of the morning’s first beam,

In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:

’Tis the star-spangled banner, O! long may it wave

O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore

That the havoc of war and the battle’s confusion,

A home and a country, should leave us no more?

Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps’ pollution.

No refuge could save the hireling and slave

From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:

And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave,

O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

O! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand

Between their loved home and the war’s desolation.

Blest with vict’ry and peace, may the Heav’n rescued land

Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!

Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,

And this be our motto: “In God is our trust;”

And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave

O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

- - - - -

All poetry aside, the American Flag is bad-ass. Yep, you heard me right. The big O wants wants our change back.

What this means for an unlucky collection of cooks and waitresses is a last minute "corrected" W-2 with a roughly 30% larger taxable income than previously reported. Restaurant owners will be given the choice by IRS henchmen either to pay back taxes on estimated tips for up to five years previous, or to negotiate down the number of years of back taxes owed in return for "voluntarily" enrolling in the relatively new ATIP (Attributed Tip Income Program), which allows the IRS to estimate and automatically tax gratuities received by service employees. For most restaurant owners, this is an offer they can’t afford to refuse.

I imagine a scenario wherein a nefarious Obama, lit by a noxious green smoke, lurks in a darkened oval office and consults with a magic mirror about what to tax next.

"There seems to be a plethora of confusion surrounding the corporate income taxes of companies such as General Electric. Perhaps you take advantage of this by adding yet another tax to the burden of the public shareholders?" suggests the mirror.

"No, I need them to keep funding my elections," replies evil Obama, whilst stroking his goatee. "Besides, I play golf with the CEO."

After a thoughtful pause, the mirror offers another suggestion: "Well, then, how about the gratuities of all the poor sobs who voted for you? I’ve heard it’s common practice to not report waitressing tips to the IRS."

The green glow lights the growing grin of the evil one.

"Yes . . . YES . . . A basic and exceedingly charitable answer would be to ensure that industry does not take undue advantage of its labor force, and that those workers have easier access to some of the wealth which they helped create. So what’s so absurd about the notion of public service employee unionization? Just that there’s no such freakin’ thing as industry or profits in the public sector, that’s what! As the name implies, these folks have chosen to work in service to the public. They ain’t workin’ for no freakin’ evil corporation, and their efforts ain’t generating no freakin’ profit, anywhere! Time was, in fact, when it was widely understood that public service was just that – a service performed for the benefit of society, often at the personal sacrifice of the public servant. If an individual desired to pursue personal gain, it could be readily found in the free market, where exchanges benefit both buyers and sellers. Public servants, by contrast, can only enrich themselves at a cost to the general public, via the mechanism government sanctioned theft, sometimes referred to as taxation. With servants like these, who needs masters?!

The absurdity is even more apparent when you remember that public employees work, not for private profiteering capitalists, but for public officials which they themselves had a hand in electing. So the whole idea that public employees need to seek union representation in order to negotiate with their already publicly elected representatives is just about the most idiotic redundancy since the first man wore both his belt AND his suspenders.

Beyond this absurdity, it must be acknowledged that there is a sinister tendency for union representatives to seek out and work in tandem with corrupt public representatives (but I repeat myself), an incestuous relationship which ought to be every bit as vilified as corporate-government entanglements.

Ultimately, no matter what their dubiously altruistic intent may have originally been, private sector unions in general tend to grow into parasitic bureaucracies which only serve to further tax and regulate their members. This is okay, so long as union membership is freely offered or rejected, without coercion. Public service employee unions, however, are downright evil, stupid, and absurd from the outset. They should not be tolerated by a free society.

And I managed to get all of that out without making the obvious comparison of unionism to socialism. Are you proud of me?Mose Jeffersonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17997751250108334579noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4632717592532925206.post-91322147435249331222011-01-28T19:30:00.000-08:002011-02-26T14:43:23.962-08:00Medical Progress, R.I.P.I just finished up assisting in a surgical excision of cancerous bone growth, in a child, no less, a child who will likely go on to live a full and wonderful life. The range of possibilities available to us for the treatment of cancer is a testament to the miracle of the free market. Seriously, you should see our radiation therapy facilities - fricking Star Wars. Last I checked, virtually none of our methods were developed by the British National Health Service. Pretty much entirely products of the American free market in medicine (R.I.P.).

I am proud to work at OHSU, one of the premier medical centers in the world. Amongst our many remarkable facilities is the "OHSU Knight Cancer Research Center". That's Knight, as in Phil Knight, of Nike. It's called that because in 2008 Mr. Knight donated $100 MILLION dollars to the OHSU Cancer Research Center to massively expand it's facilities. This monumental act of charity, coupled with the incredible folks I am honored to work with every day, will be nothing short of a miracle to countless more kids, for years to come. The world will literally be a better place because of them. Mr. Knight's philanthropy is in the tradition of other great capitalists such as Andrew Carnegie, and is a testament to the sorts of mature, community oriented individuals which a free society can produce. Michael Moore, by comparison, is a worthless piece of garbage, whose existence will have been to the benefit of no one but his financial investors, and it's high time he high-tailed it to Cuba, Venezuela, or Russia - but I digress...

Individuals like Phil Knight, combined with the innovations and motivations inherent to the free market, have born more fruits than all of the worlds "national health care systems" combined; that the credit seems to unerringly fail to fall where it is due is sickening.

The free market saves lives. If medical care had been turned over to the government 100 years ago, we'd still be using leeches and tinctures.Mose Jeffersonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17997751250108334579noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4632717592532925206.post-85204880716433907912010-12-07T18:56:00.000-08:002010-12-07T19:08:18.495-08:00"A Day Which Will Live In Infamy..."

2,459 Americans killed
1,282 injured
We made them pay, though.

Mose Jeffersonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17997751250108334579noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4632717592532925206.post-87585347630541147272010-11-03T16:09:00.000-07:002010-11-03T16:59:26.475-07:00YOUCUT - the fun new game that's sweeping the nation! The voters have once again spoken, and like a breath of fresh air they appear to have removed their heads from their rears before doing it. We are one step closer to a constitutional, limited government. Obama's express ticket to bankruptville has been revoked, and the rubberstamp congress which he's used to prove his inadequacy has been flushed. What remains to be seen is whether the new Republican House, under Old Boehner, will heed this rare glimpse of public wisdom and follow through with the drastic government cuts, both in power and in spending, that are so necessary for a true American recovery to occur - something a little more tangible than Obama's pathetic little "recovery summer".

To guide them, our power hungry little representatives need to hear from us, and a new tool has been added to that sadly anemic toolbox. It's called "Youcut", and it's basically a direct line to D.C. which can be used to spotlight those particularly atrocious little grants and expenditures which somehow slip through the budgetary cracks. It's certainly not a cure-all for the metastatic blob of government, but it is a fun step in the right direction. Through this very democratic process, bad spending can be brought to the attention of our stupid congress, and maybe, just maybe, they'll be in a charitable mood and oblige us our request. Anyways, what the hell, right? It can't hurt to try. It's worth it, if for no other reason than the Democrats are very publicly against it. They love wasting your money even more than the Republicans do. And that's saying something.

YOUCUT

Can't find a that specific grant you were looking for? That's fine, you can still give them some general ideas right here.

Something to bear in mind: While encouraging, using Youcut to correct the culture of government is a bit like using tweezers to remove fleas from France. This is a huge problem, and it's going to take some serious DDT level solutions.

Rock on!Mose Jeffersonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17997751250108334579noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4632717592532925206.post-28983546586036079042010-10-27T14:10:00.000-07:002011-02-26T14:33:59.068-08:00The Dependence of Diversity Upon Liberty
Much is made of the virtue of diversity, and rightly so. Consider the history of the United States, the melting pot of the world: while many books have been written about the inevitable clash and abuse between so many disparate peoples thrown together in this exceptional nation, still many more have been written of her beautiful fruits, cultivated in the fertile soil of American liberty. It is diversity which gives choice to our liberty. Indeed, the entire history of America is an expression of the greatness which can be achieved when the infinite possibilities of diversity are given the liberty to act.

To celebrate diversity without an equal regard to the liberty in which it thrives, however, is to remove all practical worth from the former. There is a symbiotic relationship between diversity and liberty. Diversity represents mere potential, of little or no practical value, just as a mechanics tool is meaningless until it is put to use. Our toolboxes may be full, but we must above all else be free to use those tools. Diversity of thought and expression, of experience and ingenuity, of culture and belief, these are vitally important characteristics of which we are all possessed, but it is only in our free exercise of reason and unrestrained utilization of free will that our diversity flourishes, providing us with the infinite expressions of life of which we are each capable.

Is it any wonder that the Greeks placed the utmost value on mans ability to reason, or that St. Augustine later spoke of the incredible gift of our God-given free will? It’s time once again to remember the truth of Lord Acton’s words, “power corrupts”. It’s time once again for the Dirty Politician Derby!
These are the filthy pigs who, as Bastiat wrote, “… during the election, were so wise, so moral, so perfect, now have no tendencies whatever; or if they have any, they are tendencies that lead downward to degradation.” This is our political class, the self-serving treasonous trash who prove time and again the necessity for limited government. This is our would-be ruling class. As we slog towards another election, it should be with a skeptical and sarcastic eye that we look upon any walking campaign ad who comes bearing gifts, promises, and shiny new programs.

Mayor Gary Becker (D-Racine, WI) – He’s a paederast, charged with five child-sex felonies after being arrested by the FBI at a mall trying to meet with a “14 year old girl” he had met on the internet. The child was in actuality a big burly G-Man, which Becker had probably better get used to, because he gets to spend the next 3 years in prison keeping big burly men warm at night.

Rep. William Jefferson (D-LA) – Caught accepting more than $400,000 in bribes and seeking millions more in exchange for brokering business deals in Africa. Agents found $90,000 in this dumb ass’s freezer. Found guilty of 11 counts of corruption, he received the longest sentence ever given to a congressman for bribery, 13 years. FBI footage of Jefferson taking the bribe is available on the internet, but I have to say, it’s not nearly as titillating as last year’s footage of Senator Diane Wilkerson doing the exact same thing.
One of his convicted co-conspirators was his brother, Mose Jefferson. I feel it necessary to state that I am not this man.

Mayor Larry Langford (D-Birmingham, AL) – Guilty on 60 counts including bribery, money laundering, criminal conspiracy, and mail and wire fraud. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison and fined more than $119,000 by a rather lenient federal judge in Tuscaloosa. He is still proudly listed among Mayor Bloomberg’s “Mayors Against Illegal (let’s be honest – they mean all) Guns” coalition, because as we all know, power-hungry politicians absolutely hate empowered citizens.

The entire state of New Jersey – Since 2002 the FBI and IRS have conducted a sweeping investigation into political corruption in New Jersey. Over the course of Operation Bid Rig more than 60 public officials have been indicted. In July of 2009, a sting operation resulted in the arrest of 44 people in both Jersey and the Big Apple, including 29 public servants and political operatives and 5 orthodox rabbis. It seems nothing is sacred in the garden state. The crimes centered around corruption and international money-laundering, but included black market trafficking of human body parts… such as kidneys… from humans!
Rather than describe each piece of trash individually, I will just list some of the most notable arrests: Mayor Peter Cammarano III (D-Hoboken); Mayor Dennis Elwell (D-Secaucus); Mayor Anthony R. Suarez (D-Ridgefield); Deputy Mayor Leona Beldini (D- Jersey City) claiming after her court appearance that she hadn’t violated the taxpayer’s trust (and thereby proving how far expectations have fallen); Assemblyman L. Harvey Smith (D-NJ); Assemblyman Daniel M. Van Pelt (R-NJ); Jersey City Councilman Philip J. Kenny; Jersey City Housing Authority Commissioner Edward Cheatam; Former Jersey City Housing Authority Commissioner and Chairwoman Lori Serrano. Dishonorable Mention: Former Senator Joseph Doria (D-Bayonne, NJ) – Forced to step down from his position as New Jersey Commissioner of Human Affairs over his alleged involvement in this debacle. No arrest has been made, yet. Maybe next year, Senator!

State Senator John Cowdery (R-O District, Alaska) – will be joining last years derby participant Vic Kohring in the Corrupt Bastards Caucus over the Alaska political corruption probe involving the VECO Corporation. After a joint investigation by the IRS and the FBI, VECO executives pled guilty to federal charges of extortion, bribery, and conspiracy to impede the IRS (okay, that last one ain’t so bad!). The corruption culminated in the bribing of top Alaskan officials to vote in favor of an oil tax law favored by VECO. Then they got caught. I love America!

Federal District Judge Samuel B. Kent (Galveston, TX) – Got off easy on one count of obstruction of justice in order to avoid an indictment on six federal counts of abusive sexual contact and aggravated sexual abuse, in cases involving non-consensual sexual contact. This scumbag was only sentenced to 2 years, 11 months, but I’m sure he’ll get out early.

Mayor Sheila Dixon (D-Baltimore) - Convicted of misdemeanor embezzlement for stealing gift cards donated to her office intended for distribution to needy Baltimore families. As an added “screw you” to us taxpayers, she will be allowed to retain her $83,000 per year pension. We, on the other hand, will continue to go to work every day to pay our bills. My self respect would never allow me to trade places with Sheila.

State Representative Rod Jetton (R, MO) – This Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives was charged with assault after a bout of sadomasochistic sex with an advocate for the Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network. Talk about poor choice of victim! After allegedly drugging her wine, hitting her on the head repeatedly, and choking her into unconsciousness, his only defense was that she never said the agreed upon safe word. “She never said ‘green balloons’.” That’s because she was unconscious, you twisted piece of garbage.

Nevada Senator John Ensign (R-NV) - Resigned his position as Chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee after admitting he had an affair with Cynthia Hampton, the wife of a close friend. In 1998 Senator Ensign had called for President Dirty Bill Clinton (D) to resign after admitting to an affair with Monica Lewinsky. Irony!

Governor Mark Sanford (R-SC) - Traveled all the way to Argentina on tax dollars to have an extra-marital affair. He tried to claim that he was “walking the Appalachian Trail”. That’ll be my new slang term for “leaving my family and traveling to South America to betray my marital vows with a sexy commodity broker”. By the way, this turd also called for Dirty Bills impeachment, back in the day. Irony2!

Assemblyman Mike Duvall (R-CA) - Resigned after the married “champion of family values” was caught on video bragging about affairs with two female lobbyists. Yet another case of “idiot politician doesn’t know what a microphone does”. He said of one of his nasty ladies, "I'm getting into spanking her." What a champ!

There you have it, folks, another year of political filth. Keep it in mind the next time a politician touts their new vision for America. Mob bosses (excuse me) I mean union leaders from the AFL-CIO, SEIU, Change To Win, and various other groups representing teachers, government workers, electricians, and so on, were ecstatic to learn that they would not have to pay the whopping 40% excise tax soon to be imposed on private insurance plans worth $8,900/year for individuals or $24,000/year for families.

So where is the lesson to all would-be Presidential candidates? Obama, or more likely Rahm Emmanuel, came up with a genius scheme to continue massive union support for Democrats in future elections: This tax exemption, worth about 60 billion dollars, is designed to expire January 1st, 2018. In other words, if the unions want to keep this sweetheart deal going, they had better come out in force for the 2016 Democrat presidential candidate who will be presumably picking up where Obama left off.

Tens of millions of votes bought for 60 billion stolen dollars. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is corruption at its finest.Mose Jeffersonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17997751250108334579noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4632717592532925206.post-21657599591961663322010-01-08T19:51:00.000-08:002010-01-22T10:04:04.487-08:00Napolitano’s Never Ending Bungles: 2009 Domestic Terrorism ReportJanet Napolitano, upon her unfortunate promotion in 2009, wasted no time in using her ill-gotten position to smear conservatives and veterans and suck up to her superiors with the release of the now infamous “DHS Rightwing Extremism Report”, which I had a few things to say about. To say that the course of 2009 has disproven her little smear fest would be putting it mildly, but just in case anyone is still in doubt, I present to you, in chronological order, The Sovereign Slacker's 2009 Domestic Terrorism Report!

May 20 – New York City: Foiled Muslim plot to blow up 2 Bronx synagogues and shoot down military airplanes flying out of an Air National Guard base in Newburgh, New York. A typical case of Islamofascists targeting innocent Jews and Americans. That’s about as far from Rightwing as it gets.

May 25 – New York City: An improvised explosive device was detonated outside of a New York City Starbucks, which thankfully injured no one. Eventually, a 17 year old punk-ass admitted to the crime, claiming he was copying the movie “Fight Club”, “Because, you know, man, like, those corporations are like, evil, man, except that I don’t believe in good and evil, man, because that would undermine my ignorant leftist moral relativism!”

May 31 – Wichita, Kansas: Abortionist Dr. George Tiller was murdered by schizophrenic abortion activist Scott Roeder. This time, one of the psychos involved actually was a conservative, but this case may as well serve as the exception which proves the rule. The psycho in question succumbed to his disgusting hate and murdered one of only 3 third-term abortion doctors in the country. He fought murder with murder, and will be so damned, most likely to spend eternity side-by-side with his victim.

June 1 – Little Rock, Arkansas: Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, an American Muslim, opened fire on a U.S. military recruiting office, killing Private William Long and Wounding private Quinton Ezeagwula. Yet another Islamofascist scumbag.

June 10 – Washington, D.C.: The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum shooting. Racist anti-Semite James Wenneker von Brunn, holocaust denier and neo-Nazi, stormed into the U.S. Holocaust Memorial and murdered Security officer Stephen Tyrone Johns, a hero who took the bullets intended for many others. Remember, children, Nazi stands for national socialist. Now, I know that conservative means many different things in different countries and at different points in history, but in 2009 America, conservative means the absolute opposite of socialist. This piece of trash was wrongfully branded by some ignorant media types as a conservative, based on the antiquated notion that white-supremacy equals conservatism, but the facts tell the truth of the matter. In his self published trash, “Kill the Best Gentiles”, after all the baloney about Jews and their creation of a false Jesus conspiracy, he goes on to say that socialism “emanates not from Reason alone but from the ETHOS OF THE WEST. It expresses the instinctive and Intuitive feelings UNIQUE to the Aryan Nation”, continuing on to say that “all wars and revolutions are financed by JEW CAPITALISTS.” He believed that Socialism was the birthright of the Aryan West. Yep, you heard me. This one was a Leftist, and remember, it is the Left who overwhelmingly wish to deny the people of Israel their rightful homeland, siding instead with the anti-Jewish Palestinians who would rather die than see a Jew live near their 3rd holiest site, built on the ruins of the 1st holiest site of the Jews (because the Jews were there first, see). Von Brunn died in prison on the 6th of this month, and is now burning in Hell. Yay!

August 25 - Denver, Colorado: DNC local headquarters smashed. This event was immediately blamed on foes of Obamacare by the State Democratic Chairwoman, who was following the Saul Alinsky/Rahm Emanuel rule, “Never let a good tragedy go to waste”. She was, of course, wrong and stupid. It was later revealed that this criminal act was in fact committed by one of the DNC’s own: Maurice Schwenkler, active DNC member, paid SEIU activist, and wacky transgendered anarchist (Irony alert: Anarchy literally means “without ruler”, but this little turd is an active supporter of leftist statist ideology. Point and laugh at the goofy little fool, everyone!), who goes by the silly pseudonym “Ariel Attack”. Was this an act of national terror? No. I just thought it was funny.

September 4 – Seattle, Washington: ELF terrorists cut down AM radio towers belonging to KRKO Seattle, using a stolen excavator. They claimed that radio waves are dangerous to dear mother earth. This is why Leftists shouldn’t be science teachers.

September 15 – New York City: Najibullah Zazi, Afghani Islamofascist and Al Qaeda member, is arrested while attempting to blow up a car laden with explosives in New York City. He was convicted of conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction, but is somehow still alive, and probably enjoying better conditions in prison than he ever saw back home in his crappy native garbage country.

September 24 - Hosam Maher Husein Smadi, a Jordanian arrested on suspicion of planning a terrorist bombing of Dallas Fountain Place. He fancied himself a part of a sleeper cell, but apparently this genius didn’t realize that he was the only member of the group who was not actually a federal agent. This is why Good will always win, because Evil is dumb.

November 5 – Fort Hood, Texas: Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, another Islamofascist nutbag (are you detecting a pattern?), opened fire on his fellow American troops, killing 14 and wounding 30. Born in America but descending from Palestinians, he was on record as saying that non-believers would be sent to hell, decapitated, set on fire, and have burning oil poured down their throats, then set back on fire, and somehow decapitated again, followed by a round of nasty name calling. Then, a cup of coffee and some biscuits. One of the 14 killed, by the way, was the unborn child of Francheska Velez, and as such is not included in most death tolls. Most media outlets indicate only 13 deaths because they are either ignorant or morally depraved. There were 14 innocents killed that day. The only reason this scumbag is alive today is that military bases are “gun free zones” (I’m dead serious!) and as such he was able to carry out his attack with impunity until military police arrived to subdue him. This massacre bears a striking resemblance to all of those tragic school shootings in which the “gun free zone” prevented law-abiding citizens such as teachers and other adults from defending themselves. How hard is it to understand that criminals don’t obey such useless and socially destructive laws?

December 25 – The Christmas underpants bomber: I can’t remember his name, and who really cares anyway? Let’s all just point and laugh. This privileged little Islamofascist fart expressed his hatred of the free world by attempting to kill 300 innocents but instead succeeded in merely blowing off his own balls and giving us all a good chuckle. With enemies like this, who needs friends? My gut tells me that this little blip proves that there is indeed a God, and He prefers Christmas over Ramadan.

Well, there you have it, 2009’s acts of domestic United States terrorism. Not quite the Rightwing-Palooza that Napolitano had hoped for. Somebody ought to inform the socialist hacks at the Southern Poverty Law Center. Called the wrong play on that one, didn’t you, Janet? It seems to me that either the Director of Homeland Security needs a new crystal ball, or else America needs a new Director of Homeland Security. Or, better yet, none at all.

The underpants bomber is a fitting conclusion to this year in domestic terrorism, and a fitting tribute to Napolitano, Pelosi, and all of their Statist thugs. True to form, after first inflating her ego by stealing credit for the subduing of Nutless Underpants Boy (“The system worked!”), then recanting and groveling her grudging admission of failure, Napolitano wasted no time in sounding the call for yet more power and funding to be given to her big fancy government agency- and this is the true insight into a politician’s selfish desires: After abusing her position to demonize half the nation and score brownie points with her political party, and after a year has passed in which her ineptness has been made completely apparent, she still has the nerve to openly call for the increased empowerment of both herself and the bloated State from which she sucks her un-earned prosperity. And that, above all, is the biggest lesson in the terrorist chaos of 2009: No matter who they are, whether they be tree hugging flea scratching granola eating eco terrorists, or wined and dined members of our elected royalty, humans everywhere – including the ones with whom we’ve foolishly entrusted the care of our nations – can always be relied upon to serve themselves first, at our expense. The great and pathetic failure Napolitano wasted no time in her continuing scrabble for vain State empowerment. We must stop looking up to our elected leaders, and start looking down upon them. This has always been a part of our great founding principles, ideals which should be studied and held up in pride.

Whether you lean politically to the right or left, or up or down or forwards or backwards, terrorism hurts all of us, especially when its ultimate goal is achieved, the goal of political tyranny. It is our own selfish politicians who further that goal whenever they use a tragedy to push their own political agenda. The phrase “never let a good tragedy go to waste” is often credited to the current White House Chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, a true genius of public manipulation (and that's with only 9 fingers!), and you can be sure that 2010 will bring more of this and everything else we got in 2009: more vile maggot terrorists taking out their pathetic angst on all the innocents around them, and more vile vulture politicians wasting not a single tragedy in their never ending quest for more power. For myself, I’ll continue to pray for the miracle and dream of the day when I am blessed with the privilege of placing a pre-emptive .44 caliber hole in the head of anyone who would seek to terrorize free people like us. I will also continue to fight tooth and nail for the day that we re-discover the values of individual liberty and limited government, values which once made America great. That day may never come, but it still makes me smile.

Tune in next week for Dirty Politician Derby 2009!
Mose Jeffersonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17997751250108334579noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4632717592532925206.post-15277556820134667272009-12-22T13:32:00.000-08:002009-12-23T16:58:50.328-08:00An Open Letter To “Progressives”Does any of this sound familiar:

“Corporations are evil, man. They, like, feed off the greed of capitalism, dude. Capitalism is a system of greed, and it’s, like, totally a symptom of the materialism of western culture”?

Of course it does. It’s the motto of the Left. It’s practically the official slogan of the “grassroots” arm of the Democrat National Committee. Not the Democrats in office, mind you. They are actually all very wealthy. No, this is the slogan of all of those, uh, youthful voters who elected them. And it is to those young “progressives” (whatever that means) that I address this letter.

So, young “progressives” (?) what has your beloved party done lately? Well, how about the Wall Street Bailouts, for obvious starters. The supposed heroes of the proletariat have used public money to protect various corporations in the finance and auto industries (among others) from the consequences of their own “greed”. You could call it Corporate Welfare, if you want. The President is hard at work protecting the CEOs and the bad corporations from bankruptcy. Not to worry, Lefties, those evil corporations you so hate will still be here to sell you their evil products after you get a job and go on your wild shopping spree, and all thanks to the good folks in Congress and the White House whom you very excitedly helped to elect.

And how about that western culture of consumption which you so despise? Normally, as we all know, economic collapse following a period of wild and greedy spending results in a deflation of wealth and consumption. The heady days of materialism are dealt the harsh blow of responsibility, and that supposed western value so hated by the left deflates, to make way for more responsible savings and introspection. These periods are known as “corrections”, they are ultimately healthy for the market, and they serve as a sobering reminder to all of those "greedy capitalist pigs" that there is more to life than money.

But not to fear, Lefties! If the promises of Pelosi, Obama, and all of the other darlings of your movement pan out, we won’t have to suffer a reduction of consumption. They have it in mind to use trillions of federal dollars to finance “Stimulus Packages”, which will serve to artificially prop up consumption until the economy can get back on its merry old way, and further protect those mean capitalist businessmen from the effects of their greed. They intend to MAINTAIN the pre-crash consumption levels. Remember when George “worst president ever” Bush told us all to “go shopping”? Hurray for consumption!

Let’s just move beyond the fact that not one of these policies makes any real economic sense. The fact remains that these are indeed the policies of your elected leftist officials. So why, I have to ask, are you, the youthful and energetic supporters of “progressive” (seriously, what does that even mean?) politics, still supporting these people? Who do you think you are actually serving? Are you totally blind to the incredible rift between you and your elected elite?

Are you absolutely sure that you haven’t been duped into becoming a part of what Lenin might have called the “useful idiots”?

HopeyChangey!
Mose Jeffersonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17997751250108334579noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4632717592532925206.post-14559909813952986232009-12-15T15:19:00.000-08:002011-02-26T14:27:11.332-08:00Federal Stimulus Spending Is A CrockCurrently, America is in a period of economic depression stemming from a collapsed housing bubble resulting from an attempt by the Federal Reserve to boost economic growth in the wake of 9/11 (and the “.com bubble”) by drastically reducing its lending rate to flood the market with cheap investment finance. The resultant real estate boom and accompanying economic surge were based more on the oversupply of capital than the presence of any real demand necessary to sustain such growth, and as a result, the economy crashed.

In the aftermath of the crash, the government again stepped in to limit the negative market correction. This time the administration utilized a series of unprecedented “stimulus spending packages” wherein an attempt was made to jump start the economy with a massive infusion of government spending. Let’s just skip past the fact that now, on the cusp of 2010, we can see in hindsight that these spending measures have utterly failed, and that the U.S. economy is still struggling to get back up despite the rude whipping being administered by the administrations, past and present. A simple, albeit boring, economics lesson could have warned us that it would go this badly.

Our miserable politicians have now decided to repeat their own mistakes. Echoing the stupidity of George W. Bush’s idiotic defense of 2008’s massive spending debacle (“I’ve abandoned free-market principles to save the free-market system”), Temporary President Barack Obama recently presaged another round of wasteful “stimulus” spending in 2010, in a speech given at the Brookings Institute on December 8th:

“One of the central goals of this administration is restoring fiscal responsibility. Even as we have had to spend our way out of this recession in the near term, we have begun to make the hard choices necessary to get our country on a more stable fiscal footing in the long run, . . . At this particular moment, only government can provide the short-term boost necessary to lift us from a recession this deep and severe . . .”

Unfortunately for Mr. Obama, and for the rest of us, these statements do not reflect an accurate understanding of economics, and the president knows is. He very candidly said as much in a little publicized recent interview with socialist economist Robert Kuttner, during which he appealed to sympathetic economists to help spin his policies and make them sound somewhat credible:

“. . . we're going to need help from all of you who oftentimes are more credible than politicians in delivering that message. Because we want to leverage whatever public dollars are spent, and we are under no illusion that somehow the federal government can spend its way out of this recession.”

These obviously self-contradictory remarks should really come as no surprise. Self-contradiction is a near universal side effect of any attempt to twist reality into a more serviceable selfish falsehood. Self-contradiction is one of the most telling symptoms of a liar. Consistency, sweet consistency, can only reliably come from a solid foundation based on truth and logic, a foundation which is all too often missing in politicians, which is why the progress of human social evolution and the advancement of liberty and equality has always been to further protect the individual from the fickle selfish throes of government. One of the greatest, if not the greatest, leaps in this aspect of human development was the framing of the American Constitution. The founders believed in the natural inalienable rights of the individual and rooted this country in a firm foundation of individual liberty and limited government. Our Constitution plainly states this philosophy to be constant and unchanging. James Madison explained the eternal need for this philosophy in the 51st Federalist Paper:

“If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself.”

Barack Obama does not believe in this philosophy. From his book, The Audacity of Hope:

“Implicit in [the Constitution’s] structure, in the very idea of ordered liberty, was a rejection of absolute truth, the infallibility of any idea or ideology or theology or “ism,” any tyrannical consistency that might lock future generations into a single, unalterable course . . .”

This convenient disregard for absolute, universal truths is what allows him to plunge ahead, foundationless, without respect for our fundamental principles of limited government, guided only by his own selfish and relative morality. This is why he contradicts himself.

More to the topic, however, the president is wrong to attempt economic stimulus through government expenditure. The trouble with this process is that in order to obtain its money, the government must first either take it directly from the citizenry in the form of taxes, or issue bonds to investors in order to borrow the amount it intends to spend. The first option has the effect of reducing the amount of liquid capitol within the economy, which depresses the GDP and leads to increased unemployment. The second option increases the national debt, which can only be paid off through increased tax receipts, spending cuts, or the arbitrary printing of “fiat” money. Increased tax receipts stem from either economic growth or an increase in tax rates. Unfortunately for us, a historical analysis of 20th century American economics reveals that increased government spending usually results in a net loss to the GDP. History does not bode well for this approach, yet it is one of the shoestrings to which the current administration is asking us to cling. So, since we are considering massive increases in government spending, increased taxation and fiat money are the most likely outcomes. Fiat money is the money arbitrarily printed and issued by the federal treasury which increases the quantity of money units within an economy without increasing the intrinsic worth of that economy. The net result is a decrease in the actual value of an individual unit of money, in this case the dollar, and a resultant increase in the cost of consumer goods, a market quality tracked by the Consumer Price Index, or CPI. An increase in the CPI is also referred to as inflation, a process which decreases the productivity of a market by effectively shifting economic wealth from the owners of the money (private business and individuals) to the borrower of the money (Federal Reserve, during deficit spending).

This is not to say that absolutely no one benefits from government spending. The entire economy of Washington, D.C. is made up of its beneficiaries - politicians, lobbyists, pollsters, and anyone else who cheered for the winning team last election and now awaits their tax-funded reward. They suckle, like pigs, at the tired teats of the taxpayers. I know. I’ve seen it. It’s gross.

So what does all of this mean for you and me, average U.S. citizens? Basically, any increase in government spending contributes to a decrease in the overall economic aspect of our quality of life. Federal stimulus spending is a total crock of shit. It’s that freaking simple.Mose Jeffersonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17997751250108334579noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4632717592532925206.post-64573035018028481362009-11-27T14:09:00.000-08:002011-02-26T14:35:27.457-08:00Understanding Diversity TrainingA friend of mine works for the City of Portland Housing Authority, which has the slogan "many cultures, one roof" - almost as if this were abnormal in the modern American melting pot. Hell, I should have the slogan "many cultures, one pasty white ass". Because of the uber-leftist and showy multi-culture-chic nature of Portland, Oregon, the city housing authority scores brownie points and tax dollars by collecting more needy immigrants than Angelina Jolie. As a part of this charade, employees of HAP are required to attend regular diversity training, courses designed to reduce every member of mankind into a tidy package of ethnic stereotypes. Most recently, he was subjected to a course titled "Understanding Asians". No, it was not a Mandarin Language course, nor did it instruct it's participants on the more practical aspects of understanding Asians, such as the fact that some Asian languages do not have a hard "R" sound, thus causing understandable difficulty when pronouncing certain English words. The premise of this course is basically to homogenize all Asian races into one mystical Buddhist-Taoist-Confucian Gordian Knot which, once conveniently unraveled by a highly educated “minority studies” master, provides the HAP employee with all the knowledge necessary to form an eternal bond with the soul of any one he encounters from that particular continent.

The very idea that you can familiarize yourself with a complete stranger just by attending a class about their nationality is completely disgusting and disrespectful. The fundamental thinking behind Diversity Training is basically that humans are not individuals, each worthy of equal respect and regard, but simply faceless members of one race or another, to be treated differently and with pre-judgment. The joy of diversity training is that it trains you to think of your coworker Achmed, not as "that great guy I work with who cracks the funny jokes and prays a lot", but rather as "one of those people, you know, different from you and me".

The one good thing in all of this is that there is no class titled "Understanding Portuguese-Welsh-Dutch-Danish-Irish-Scottish-Polish Americans". This means that I, at least, will never be confronted by a HAP city employee who condescendingly treats me like an old pal, just because they were taught the secret handshake of “my people” by some minority studies hack.

Racism sucks, but diversity training is not the answer. Diversity training actually makes our society worse by emphasizing the differences between us. True racism is always obvious, and a mature society deals with it in the same way as any other inequity - it is pointed out and ridiculed and shunned into non-existence. A good example of racism, by the way, can be found in HAPs hiring policy, as stated on their very own website:

"Our goal is to employ minorities in our work force to a degree that is at least comparable to the representation of minorities in the available qualified work force for a particular job within the Portland metropolitan area . . . HAP will attempt to recruit needed personnel from minority groups and low-income program participants." Mose Jeffersonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17997751250108334579noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4632717592532925206.post-27191944095195379382009-08-13T19:52:00.000-07:002009-11-27T13:57:16.701-08:00What Did The 5 Fingers Say To The Red Leftist Bastard?
The Russian Soviet Revolution has failed miserably. The Chinese Great Leap Backward has brought total socio-political oppression to its people. North Korea and Cuba are now impoverished nations under the thumbs of tiny totalitarian tyrants, with Venezuela nipping along closely behind. Karl Marx was an incompetent half-wit unable to hold a job or find his pants.

The delusional red revolutionaries of the past brought violent, bloody disaster to their nations, and from the wreckage of those nations reared the true hellish face of communism, the face of socialist fascism. The Dictatorship of the Proletariat has always resulted in both the oppression of the actual proletariat and the creation of a new, more powerful class of bourgeois oppressors. Reality and human nature are incontrovertible forces that have always dealt a lethal bitchslap to the delusions of revolutionary communism.

With full knowledge of this immutable law, modern day commies have given up notions of glorious, violent revolution, and are resorting instead to a more gradual and less obvious method of parliamentary driven change. Modern day Reds often avoid the traditional labels of "communist" and "socialist" altogether, preferring the more nebulous and less insidious "leftist". No longer do their banners carry slogans of struggle and sacrifice for the good of the state. They have been replaced with the empty rhetoric of "basic human rights", "equality", and "social justice", held forth as totems against the stark reality that in all nations wherein the communist struggle has succeeded, these words are all now meaningless. The goals, however, are the same: The crushing of the Individual beneath the boot of the State.

Now is the time for well-aimed bitchslaps to the face of creeping socialist fascism. When the hags of network news depict the opponents of increased government control as conservative nutjobs, give 'em a bitchslap. When immature hopey-changey hipsters raise the red flag and spout off about "the haves and the have-not's", give 'em a bitchslap. When the greasy smiling politicians reach their grasping hands towards our hard-earned wages and our hard-earned liberties, give 'em a bitchslap. And when any man tells you that you cannot succeed on your own, because life is unfair, and that all of your problems are someone else's fault, give 'em an atomic flying bitchslap, because you don't need that shit. You are an awesome and powerful individual, capable of joy, innovation, and greatness.

My fellow strong and sovereign individuals, it's bitchslappin' time!

Mose Jeffersonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17997751250108334579noreply@blogger.com0
